Campus Overview
Chamberlain Elementary provides a rich learning environment purposely crafted to develop early academic success. Serving more than 700 students in grades pre-kindergarten to five, Chamberlain has one of the strongest school performance records in the District of Columbia. In 2004-05, Chamberlain achieved the highest Stanford 9 reading and math test scores of all public elementary schools of similar demographics. These results follow six years of academic performance that exceed state goals.
In 2005-06, Chamberlain students were finalists in the Scripps National Spelling Bee, hosts for U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu (LA) during National Charter School Week and ambassadors for National Breakfast Week. Students benefited from numerous educational partnerships including the Washington Performing Arts Society In-School Artist Residency Program, the Toyota Book Initiative and Shakespeare Theater Text Alive!
